The knowledge behind every good service relationship

Good service is built on memory, trust and continuity. ServiceTagPro helps preserve all three. Technicians arrive better informed. Contractors build stronger customer relationships. Owners and property teams gain confidence that important knowledge will not disappear between visits, tenants, employees or providers. From a single home to an entire portfolio, everyone works from a clearer understanding of what has happened, what matters now, and what should happen next.

ServiceTagPro is in development and preparing for an early pilot.

A ServiceTag is a small NFC tag on the equipment: no battery, no internet connection, nothing private stored on it, and read by the phone you already carry. New to NFC? Start here

Choose your path

Tell us who you are and see what ServiceTagPro is designed to do for you.

  • Service professionals & contractors

Stay connected to every unit you install or service, and keep the knowledge your business runs on.

  • Field technicians

Scan the equipment and know what you are standing in front of before you open a panel.

  • Homeowners

Scan the tag on your furnace or water heater to reach the company that services it, with the unit already identified.

  • Landlords & property managers

Know what is installed in every unit, who services it and what has been done, through tenant turnover and vendor changes.

  • Commercial real estate

One continuous, attributed service record for rooftop units, generators and building systems across your portfolio.

  • Facilities & institutions

Hotels, campuses, residence halls and institutions: equipment knowledge for staff, and a way for guests to report a problem without an account.

  • Industrial & high-security sites

Plants, utilities, data centers and secure sites: rugged locked tags, an append-only record, and higher-security tags on the roadmap.

  • Tenants & occupants

Report a problem from the tag on the equipment itself, with no app and no account, where your landlord or manager offers it.

One asset, many stakeholders

Today an asset's history is scattered across invoices, spreadsheets, work-order systems and technicians' memories. Each party holds a fragment, and the fragments are lost when a technician leaves, a phone is replaced, a tenant moves out, a provider changes or a property is sold.

ServiceTagPro puts the asset at the center. Its identity and its service record persist through all of those changes, while who may see and do what is decided by each party's current relationship to it.

  • Owners
  • Landlords
  • Property managers
  • Service companies
  • Technicians
  • Occupants

One app, one platform, one framework

ServiceTagPro is being built in three layers.

ServiceTagPro for Android

The App

On the Android phone they already carry, their own or a company phone, technicians sign in with their organization's ServiceTagPro account, scan a tag, see the asset and the history they are authorized to see, record findings, readings and repairs, and keep working offline with the data their organization has synchronized.

ServiceTagPro Cloud

The Platform

A shared workspace for each organization's customers, service locations, assets, tags and service records, with a customer-safe web page reachable from any tag, no app required.

One model under every use case

The Framework

Asset identity kept separate from the physical tag; a service record that only ever gains attributed entries; ownership, management, occupancy and service as separate, dated relationships; explicit, time-bound provider authorization; and a versioned API.

How it works

ServiceTagPro is in development; this is how it is designed to work.

  1. Tag the asset. A ServiceTag on the equipment links it to its record. The tag is an identifier, not a key: it carries no customer or account data. New to NFC? Start here
  2. Record every service. Each visit adds attributed entries to the asset's one continuous record: what was found, measured and done.
  3. Scan to reach it. Any phone that scans the tag opens a web page, with no app and no account. It shows only what the building chooses, such as the unit or room, and a way to report a problem. Owners and service teams sign in to see the equipment and its history. What is on the tag?
  4. Access follows relationships. Owners, managers, providers and occupants each see only what their relationship allows. Changing provider changes who is authorized, not the asset's history.

Designed to be trusted

  • Scanning a tag never grants access by itself; every request is checked on the server.
  • Tenants and guests never need an account, and see nothing beyond what the building chooses to show.
  • A report needs proof, such as a one-time code sent to the phone or email already on record, so a copied link cannot be used to file one.
  • When equipment is removed or thrown away, its tag is retired with it and stops working.
  • Each organization's data is kept separate, and records outside your organization stay invisible.
  • Provider-private business information stays with the provider; the shared record holds the asset's history.

ServiceTagPro

The platform and app this site is about, for service companies, property managers, landlords and facilities teams. It requires a commercial signup: your organization opens a ServiceTagPro account, and your team signs in with their own accounts. The people you serve, such as homeowners, tenants and guests, scan your tags with any phone and need no app and no account.

For individuals · free and open source

ServiceTag

A free, open-source Android app for keeping your own equipment records on your own phone. There is no signup, no account and no server, and it never requires ServiceTagPro. Its tags open your own records in the app; ServiceTagPro tags open a web page set up by your service company or building.
